Who is N.Y.K.

Nycotine pic-2-1

By any Means Necessary. Words that are the driving force behind N.Y.K.’s career. Born and raised in Southeast San Diego he fell in love with music growing up to the sounds of Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, and Teddy Pendergrass. “Music with both meaning and passion is the best possible product” according to Nyk.. Growing up in a city heavily influenced by gangs, Nyk decided to choose his own path, focusing on music at all times with one goal. That goal is to be heard. A strong delivery combined with an unorthodox flow gives Nyk a style like no other Mc from the west coast. After graduating from high school Nyk moved to Fresno, California in the hopes of pursuing higher education.

While in Fresno he became the member of then a two-member group by the name of Stunt Squad. Nykbelieves in displaying real life through his music, with no fabrication. Covering issues that are not only relevant to his listeners but himself as well. Working with a number of the best producers across the country Nyk has created a style that is exciting, insightful, and unforgettable. His biggest Influences are Andre 3000 of Outkast, Busta Rhymes, and Tupac Shakur. Coming From San Diego, Nyk feels that there is an untold story of the seemingly beautiful city by the sea. Witnessing some of the most violent acts imaginable; Nyk gives every listener his intake on the city that he calls home. Music is what keeps the world spinning, are the words of Nyk. Now it’s time for the world to hear HIS story. Listen up!!!
